Speech victory

Reagan was a bit restless last night, moving out of her covers and all over her bed, but I do think she still slept for the most part. Every time I checked on her, she was asleep but usually uncovered and upside down in bed! Silly girl. She woke up around 7:30am in a decent mood. A little serious, but content. She had a good session of speech this morning. Her therapist said she hit her "I have something to say" button 5 times today and it was very intentional. We also had another major victory today when I received a call from the insurance company saying they reversed their denial of half her speech visits and they approved the full amount! I guess all of my calls and literally 80 or so emails to state representatives did the trick! Our therapy company said that they have never seen anyone get it reversed this quickly without even having to wait for an appeal! Yay! One small victory. Her PT and OT are both up for reevaluation soon too, so I'm hoping maybe they'll examine it a little more closely this time and know we aren't going to allow them to cut services that she clearly deserves. Always a fight. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. Reagan was very into her hand, so her nurse kept her arm restraint on as much as she could to try to keep it out of her mouth. She was in a good mood though. Laughy at times, very talkative (and tooty) tonight. Super happy to just roll around on the floor but very difficult to hold! Hoping we can get her to settle down and go to sleep. It's 11:15pm and she's still looking pretty alert! This girl. Such a darling.
