Austin to Dallas

Reagan slept well last night and woke up super sweet and smiley this morning. Our Monday nurse came in early so we could finish packing and getting everything ready for the trip! We really do owe each and every one of our nurses for helping us make this Make A Wish trip happen! We got everything loaded into the van and were on our way by 1pm. We are flying out of Dallas since there are no nonstop flights out of Austin to Maui, which is important because the act of boarding and unboarding a plane is not the easiest thing to do with a wheelchair bound child! It took us about 3 hours to get to Dallas and our rental 12 passenger van made for a very comfortable ride! Both kiddos were great and it went very smoothly (we can only hope the 8hr plane ride goes as well)! The only major thing we forgot is Mike's work laptop! Our neighbor was able to go and get it from our house and ship it to our hotel in Maui...have to make sure Mike has the opportunity to work while on vacation! We are staying at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas that is actually inside the DFW airport, so we're hoping that makes things run even more smoothly tomorrow. Reagan is still super crunchy and holding her pees & poos. Unfortunately she received a higher than usual dose of laxative yesterday so even though she's clenching there is some super liquidy poo in there and were just praying it does not make an appearance tomorrow during the flight! We actually went and purchased some Imodium AD for kids and were hoping that will save us...because changing a liquidy/explosive poo diaper of an 8yr old on a flight to Hawaii just isn't doable! We're actually hoping the clenching will continue, at least until we get there! Tonight we all just hung out in the living room of our suite and spread a blanket on the ground so Reagan could roll around, because she's still having some temp issues! Hoping everyone sleeps well tonight and we have an uneventful easy 8hr flight tomorrow!
